Join Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital’s team of caregivers that provide top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Port St. Lucie. Opening its doors in 2013 and expanding in 2017, this state-of-the-art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers services in a wide variety of specialties to meet community needs. You'll be supported as you follow your dreams and find where you belong, here at Tradition Hospital.

Tradition Hospital offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary wound care for chronic, non-healing wounds, utilizing advanced diagnostics and treatment. Services include hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), debridement and specialized dressings. The care focuses on treating the underlying causes of wounds to facilitate healing. As an RN on the Wound Care team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience, optimize the treatment of wound care and provide healthcare education as needed. This is a great opportunity to advance your skills and guide you down the path to taking on leadership positions down the line.

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM – 5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.

Administer medications and treatments.

Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.

Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.

Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.

Cover other nursing roles within the department.

Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas.

Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.

Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identified annual core competencies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse

Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Two to three years of acute care hospital nursing experience

Wound care experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
