Registered Nurse | Medical Oncology Unit

Emplify Health by Gundersen has a Registered Nurse position available on our 24-bed Medical Oncology Unit. This is your opportunity to provide specialized, complex care to patients while doing the work you love in the beautiful Coulee Region of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

What You Will Work

  • 0.8 FTE | 64 hours every two weeks
  • Rotating 8-hour day (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and PM (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) shifts
  • Every other weekend and holiday

What You Will Do

  • Provide Love + Medicine to medical and oncology patients, caring for individuals with acute and chronic conditions involving renal, gastroenterology, endocrinology, dermatology, pulmonary, infectious disease, and geriatric specialties.
  • Care for patients across a range of acuity levels, including Intermediate Care (IMC) patients requiring enhanced monitoring, advanced nursing assessment, and timely clinical intervention.
  • Partner with Palliative Care and Hospice teams to support patients and families facing end-of-life challenges while respecting cultural values and individual preferences.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, advanced practice clinicians, social workers, dietitians, CNAs, and fellow RNs.

What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure in Wisconsin upon hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Chemotherapy certification required within one year of hire; training and certification support provided
  • New graduate and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply
