RRB Mainframe Operations Specialist

Responsible for supervising scheduled work for the shift, ensuring the accuracy and quality of all output, recognizing and documenting production problems and taking recommended action to correct them. Ensures that adequate staffing is maintained to support processing requirements. Responsible for ensuring that all jobs are completed according to schedules and priorities. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems in conjunction with production control personnel. Reviews and ensures the quality of all output prior to the release of production control. Responsible for overall shift turnover as to priorities, jobs in process and problem areas. Observe and recommend changes to increase operational efficiencies. Mainframe JCL and admin experience. IT Skills: Microsoft Office, Oral and verbal communications, Organizational and detailed-oriented, Management – time management Mainframe operations experience with strong JCL proficiency, batch job management using schedulers, and ABEND troubleshooting. Proficient in ISPF/TSO, SDSF, and system monitoring tools. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with system programmers, documenting incidents, and following escalation procedures. Ability to work independently in a 24/7 environment, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment on when to escalate issues.
