Job Title: Security Guard
Compensation : $20.00/hr.
- Additional Compensation: $1.50/ hr. shift differential for 2nd & 3rd shifts

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The Security Guard helps protect Farmer Focus team members, visitors, facilities, products, and operations by maintaining a visible security presence and supporting compliance with company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. This role is responsible for monitoring access to the facility, conducting routine patrols, supporting traffic and parking lot control, documenting visitor activity, and assisting with incident response and evacuation procedures. Through consistent observation, professional communication, and attention to detail, the Security Guard helps maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment that supports daily production and overall business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Observe, support, and enforce company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies throughout assigned work areas.
Conduct hourly security rounds to check trailer temperatures, trailer doors, facility doors, and designated egress points.
Monitor team members, visitors, vehicles, and car traffic entering and exiting the facility to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
Log all visitors entering the facility and follow established visitor control procedures.
Monitor parking lots, issue parking tickets for noncompliance as needed, and direct traffic during shift changes.
Control traffic and assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies, drills, or processing plant evacuation events.
Conduct and document incident investigations in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain a professional attitude and communicate clearly and effectively with team members, visitors, and leaders, including during stressful situations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior security experience is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and remain composed under stressful situations.
Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
Basic computer skills required.
Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
Ability to navigate on varying terrain in all weather conditions and go up and down stairs as needed.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Trave l
Work is performed in and around a poultry processing and manufacturing facility and includes both indoor and outdoor assignments. This role requires regular patrols of production areas, parking lots, building perimeters, trailers, and other facility grounds. Team members may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, and high humidity while conducting outdoor security rounds and traffic monitoring.
Inside the facility, team members may be exposed to live poultry, raw and cooked products, dust, feathers, cleaning chemicals, wet or slippery surfaces, and varying noise levels. Temperatures may range from approximately 28°F to 100°F depending on the work area and season.
This position requires extended periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, patrolling varying terrain, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and responding to incidents or emergency situations. The ability to work outdoors for extended periods, walk long distances, conduct facility inspections, and maintain alertness throughout the shift is essential. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds may be required.
Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, eye protection, high-visibility safety gear, hair nets, beard nets, or other safety equipment, must be worn as required based on work location and job duties. This role may require working days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to support facility operations and security coverage.
