Role: Senior Account Manager (3 Month FTC)
Location: Remote working with 1-2 days in Slough onsite with clients
About the role:
As Senior Account Manager, you're the primary client partner for Client — building relationships that go beyond day-to-day delivery to become a genuine strategic voice within their business. Within a studio of 20–30 dedicated agency professionals, with 1–3 direct reports, you'll be accountable for account health, commercial performance, and the quality of every client interaction. Reporting to the Brand Partner, you'll work closely with Project Managers to keep delivery on track and clients engaged. You'll also play an active role in identifying new business opportunities — introducing OLIVER and Inside Ideas Group capabilities where they add real value.
What you will be doing:
Lead the client relationship with Client across all levels of the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic digital partner
Take accountability for the commercial health of the account — profitability, forecasting accuracy, fee negotiation, and regular financial reporting to the Brand Partner
Oversee project delivery, run rates, and client satisfaction through structured WIPs and proactive account management
Act as the escalation point for gaps in client or internal SLAs — capturing issues, proposing solutions, and working with the Brand Partner, Business Director, and Head of Operations to resolve them
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the account, connecting the right OLIVER capabilities to the right client needs
Negotiate clear, fair outcomes with clients on behalf of your team — balancing expectations, capacity, and quality
Manage, coach, and develop 1–3 direct reports, creating the conditions for strong performance and professional growth
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure every project is delivered on time, on brief, and to the highest standard
Manage project-level and account-level budgets, including cost estimation, purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliation
Source and negotiate with freelancers and production partners where required
Produce regular, accurate financial reports for the Brand Partner and Business Director
Identify and flag budget risks early, with clear recommendations for mitigation
What you need to be great in this role:
Proven account management experience within a creative, digital, or integrated agency — ideally with exposure to embedded or in-house studio models
Strong client relationship skills, with confidence engaging at senior client levels and building long-term partnerships
Commercial acumen: experience managing budgets, forecasting, fee negotiation, and identifying revenue growth opportunities
Strategic thinking across digital, social, creative, data, and production — with the ability to contribute ideas and challenge briefs constructively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident presentation and stakeholder management
Experience managing and developing junior team members, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
Understanding of how to integrate effectively with a client-side team while maintaining high agency standards
Familiarity with FMCG brands or consumer goods markets is an advantage
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant workflow or project management platforms
Experience managing project-level and account-level budgets, including cost estimation, supplier negotiation, and financial reconciliation
Confidence presenting financial performance to senior stakeholders and proactively flagging risks
Advanced use of Gen AI tools to enhance account management, client communications, and team workflows
Experience building and refining AI-assisted processes for yourself and the team
Ability to train others on effective Gen AI use within an account management context
Agentic approach to complex, multi-step client challenges — able to break down ambiguity and drive clear paths forward
Sound understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, with consistent human oversight applied to all outputs
