Senior Lab Technician

For Ibex® Solutions, our recently launched unique biological manufacturing and development concept in Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician (m/f/d) in our team in Mammalian USP Pilot at the Visp site. In this role, you will work hands-on in our state-of-the art laboratories and will interact with cross-functional teams to develop cell culture processes for the manufacture of novel biotherapeutics.

Key responsibilities:

• •Experimental work: execute experimental lab work according to defined expectations and schedule. Generate and collect high quality data. Collaborate with individual scientists and lab technicians.
• •Lab management: contribute to the maintenance and qualification of lab equipment. Actively participate to the establishment of working instructions for lab equipment. Ensure appropriate maintenance of the workplace. Order raw materials and consumables as per project needs. Share and implement best practices for lab and equipment management.
• •Facilitate improvements to departmental business processes.
• •Report issues in a timely fashion. Demonstrate flexibility to support other activities within the department.
• •Proactive approach to own continuous professional development.

Key requirements:

• •Apprenticeship with 1-4 years of relevant industry experience or Bsc in Biotechnology, Biology or Chemistry
• •Experience with Cell culture: CHO cell culture, AMBR, STR, scale-up, IgG production
• •Experience with: Pilot scale: cell culture techniques using pilot scale equipment, single-use systems, scale-up, process consistency, process control strategy
• •Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• •Strong attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining high-quality standards
• •Fluent in English is must / German would be nice to have
