Senior Manager - SQA Purchase

Job Purpose:

To manage supplier selection, evaluation, and development for electrical, mechanical, and proprietary components, ensuring cost-effective procurement, process excellence, and adherence to quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, compliance with automotive quality standards, and continuous upgradation of procurement processes .

Key Responsibilities:

• •Manage end-to-end procurement activities including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding.
• •Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
• •Handle procurement of proprietary parts, castings, forgings, sheet metal, pipes, consumables, and chemicals .
• •Oversee sourcing of electrical and mechanical components , winding wires, cables, fasteners, and other proprietary products.
• •Evaluate and finalize suppliers for castings, forgings, and other process-driven components with strong process knowledge.
• •Ensure strict adherence to automotive quality standards including PPAP, PSW, and APQP .
• •Drive cost reduction initiatives and process improvement for better efficiency and supplier performance.
• •Work on process upgradation and continuous improvement in the procurement cycle.
• •Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure supplier capability meets product requirements.
• •Manage procurement transactions using SAP and generate MIS/reports for management review.
• •Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or cost in coordination with internal stakeholders.
• •Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure long-term business alignment .

Skills & Qualification:

• •Graduate in any stream.
• •Strong knowledge of SAP (MM/Procurement modules).
• •In-depth understanding of supplier selection, evaluation, and development processes .
• •Technical know-how of electrical & mechanical components .
• •Exceptional process knowledge of castings, forgings, fasteners, winding wires, cables, sheet metal, consumables, and proprietary products .
• •Exposure to automotive industry processes and standards.
• •Familiarity with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), PSW (Part Submission Warrant), and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) .
• •Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• •Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Production, Stores).
• •Analytical mindset with ability to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities .
• •Strong knowledge of supply chain & procurement best practices .
