As TuneCore continues to evolve our product, expand globally, and accelerate growth, we’re investing in a Product Marketing function that ensures every product, feature, and customer experience is brought to market with clarity, consistency, and a deep understanding of artist needs.
Reporting to the Director, Growth, the Senior Product, Marketing Manager will lead positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for TuneCore’s products, features, pricing initiatives, and customer experiences.
They will work closely with Brand, Product, Research, Data, Campaigns, Creative, UX, and Artist Support teams to translate client insights and product capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions. They’ll be responsible for building the strategic foundation for launches, including defining target audiences, messaging, client benefits, launch objectives, and measures of success.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller and strategic thinker who understands how to connect client needs with product value. They are comfortable using research and data to shape recommendations, aligning cross-functional teams, and turning complex products into messaging that is clear, relevant, and differentiated.
Above all, you’ll help ensure every product launch, feature release, and customer communication reinforces TuneCore’s purpose: empowering independent artists to build sustainable careers on their own terms.
 
Positioning and Messaging
Develop positioning, messaging frameworks, value propositions, and product narratives.
Translate complex features and capabilities into clear customer benefits.
Create audience-specific messaging based on customer needs, behaviors, and segments
Ensure product messaging is consistent across web, campaigns, in-product experiences, customer support, and other touchpoints.
Partner with Creative and Copy teams to guide customer-facing execution.
Go-to-Market Strategy
Develop go-to-market strategies for new products, feature launches, partnerships, and UX updates.
Define target audiences, launch objectives, messaging, key benefits, risks, and success metrics.
Create product marketing briefs that provide cross-functional teams with messaging & strategy direction
Partner with the Senior Manager of Campaigns to translate product marketing strategy into integrated launch plans.
Identify launch dependencies and ensure teams are aligned on priorities, timing, and customer impact.
Customer and Market Insights
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, motivations, pain points, and barriers to adoption.
Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and customer expectations.
Partner with Research, Data, and Product to leverage research and performance data to improve messaging, segmentation, and go-to-market strategy.
Bring the voice of the customer into product and marketing planning.
Product Adoption and Performance
Identify opportunities to improve product education, onboarding, awareness, and adoption.
Support the development of FAQs, customer education, support materials, and product communications.
Define launch metrics and evaluate performance across awareness, adoption, conversion, and revenue.
Develop post-launch analysis and recommendations to improve future launches.
WHO YOU ARE:
5+ years of experience in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, integrated marketing, growth marketing, or a related field.
Experience marketing products to independent creators, entrepreneurs, or small businesses.
Experience developing positioning, messaging, value propositions, and launch strategies.
Strong customer instincts and the ability to translate research and data into actionable recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong storytelling and messaging judgment.
Experience partnering with Product, Research, Data, Brand, Creative, and UX teams.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
 
NICE TO HAVES
You have experience in the music industry and a true passion for music
Familiarity with customer research, audience segmentation, product analytics, and experimentation.
Experience with subscription plans, pricing and packaging, mobile applications, or international launches.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
TuneCore is based in the Believe office in DUMBO, Brooklyn. This is a hybrid role, with in-office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

TuneCore is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $118,800 -165,000 The final salary offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, specialized skills, internal equity, and specific work location. This range represents our good faith estimate at the time of posting.
