Overview

Mural is partnering with a global specialty chemical and polymer manufacturer to fill senior-level production roles at their facilities in Michigan and Ohio. Our client is a publicly traded global company that produces polymer colorants and specialty additive materials for automotive, packaging, healthcare, and consumer product industries. They need experienced senior operators who can qualify across multiple production areas, use SAP, operate a forklift, and contribute to training newer team members.

What you will be doing

Set up and operate blending and extrusion machinery across all operational areas

Weigh ingredients to recipe specification; monitor production and troubleshoot issues on overnight shift

Complete all SAP production transactions throughout the shift -- SAP expertise is expected

Take samples to quality control; follow lab instructions to bring batches into specification

Train new and returning employees on production processes and methods

Demonstrate leadership and teamwork in all phases of the overnight operation

Complete all documentation including production logs, batch records, and end-of-shift paperwork

Follow ISO, EHS, and all safety rules; maintain housekeeping standards

What we are looking for

3+ years of experience in blending, mixing, extrusion, or plastics/chemical manufacturing

SAP experience required -- must complete all production transactions independently

Active forklift certification

Qualified across both blending and extrusion operational areas

Experience training other employees on production processes

Available for 3rd shift overnight -- Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Comfortable in a chemical/industrial environment with full PPE; lift 55 lbs regularly

High school diploma or GED required

Pay and Schedule

Competitive hourly rate. 3rd shift: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Holden, Massachusetts (Worcester area).
