Senior Software Engineer — 3+ years

About the Role

Techdome is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build and own the core systems behind our healthcare and financial products. In this space, uptime, security, and data accuracy aren't nice-to-haves — they're the job. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys engineering production-grade software, not someone who's just here to clear a backlog.

You'll operate across the full stack (Node.js, React, MongoDB, TypeScript), carrying features from concept to live deployment, with real input into how our systems are architected and built.

What You'll Be Doing

• •Owning features from design through development, deployment, and ongoing support
• •Building APIs and applications that are secure, performant, and thoroughly tested
• •Reviewing code and upholding engineering quality across the team
• •Diagnosing and resolving production issues yourself — ownership, not escalation
• •Contributing to architecture and technical design conversations
• •Mentoring fellow engineers through reviews and day-to-day collaboration
• •Collaborating closely with product, design, QA, and DevOps — and engaging with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and monitoring tooling

What You'll Need (Required)

• •3+ years of professional engineering experience
• •Solid, hands-on expertise in Node.js, React, MongoDB, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• •Working knowledge of REST API design, database architecture, auth (authentication/authorization), testing practices, and application security
• •Track record of running production applications at scale
• •Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• •Comfort with CI/CD workflows, Git, Docker, and production monitoring/debugging
• •Background in a regulated or high-stakes domain — healthcare, fintech, banking, payments, or insurance
• •Self-direction and a genuine sense of ownership over problems

Nice to Have

• •Familiarity with system design, distributed systems, or microservices/event-driven architectures
• •Exposure to Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tooling
• •HIPAA/PHI or PCI-DSS experience, or work with payment platforms such as Stripe, Braintree, or Adyen
• •Experience in consulting, product studios, or juggling multiple clients/products
• •Comfort with AI-assisted dev tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
