Senior System Engineer (Virtual Private Cloud Team)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior System Engineer (Virtual Private Cloud Team) based in France.

• This is a senior systems engineering role focused on building and operating the core networking layer of a large-scale cloud platform.
• You will work on virtual private networking that enables reliable connectivity across distributed datacenter environments.
• The role combines high-level control-plane development in Go with low-level dataplane and systems engineering, primarily involving C and open-source technologies.
• You will contribute to secure networking services including virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls, security groups, and connectivity features.
• A key focus will be improving scalability, resilience, performance, and stability across critical cloud infrastructure.
• You will investigate challenging networking, datapath, kernel, and performance issues while collaborating with experienced engineers across the platform.
