Description
BCI Solutions, Inc. | Bremen, Indiana
BCI Solutions is looking for a dependable, organized Dock Coordinator to help keep our shipping dock accurate, organized, and moving.
This is a hands-on, non-supervisory position. The Dock Coordinator does not manage employees or have direct reports . This role supports the day-to-day shipping operation by arranging outbound shipments, entering shipping information, communicating with supervisors and leads, and helping maintain an efficient dock area.
If you’re comfortable using a computer, good at keeping things organized, and prefer an active job instead of sitting behind a desk all day, this could be a strong fit.
What You’ll Do
- Arrange and coordinate shipments leaving the BCI dock
- Enter shipping and other required information into company systems
- Review information for errors or discrepancies and make corrections when appropriate
- Communicate with supervisors and leads regarding shipping issues or changing priorities
- Help maintain an organized and efficient dock area
- Ensure product quality is maintained throughout the shipping process
- Perform other dock and shipping-related duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Comfortable using computers and performing basic data entry
- Familiarity with programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, leads, drivers, and coworkers
- Basic reading, writing, math, and typing skills
- Ability to follow established work instructions and procedures
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and adjust to changing priorities
Previous management or supervisory experience is not required. We’re looking for someone who can reliably coordinate the work of the dock, not manage a department or team.
This Is an Active Role
This position combines computer work with regular activity on the shipping dock. More than half of the workday may involve standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, or crouching.
The position requires manual dexterity, coordination, stamina, and the ability to work in an active manufacturing and shipping environment. Employees may occasionally work around moving equipment, elevated temperatures, and higher noise levels.
What We Expect at BCI
At BCI Solutions, we expect every team member to take ownership of their work, communicate openly, support the team, and look for better ways to get results.
Our Core Values include:
- Safety Always – Own It. Live It. Every Day.
- Status Quo Sucks – Challenge Everything. Create Greatness.
- Results & Accountability – Take ownership and deliver.
- Integrity & Transparency – Do the right thing and communicate openly.
- Team & Loyalty – Work together and have each other's back.
If you’re dependable, organized, comfortable working around a shipping dock, and looking for a hands-on individual contributor role, we want to hear from you.
