Software Development Manager, EU INTech Delivery Speed Tech

The EU INTech Delivery Experience team is looking for a Software Development Manager who is passionate about solving highly ambiguous and challenging problems at global scale. As an SDM, you will be responsible for owning and delivering major components of the team, and help the team with design, development, delivery and support of a variety of software applications in collaboration with a variety of roles and partner teams around the world. You will manage a team of SDEs and influence business direction, software development and high quality bar, drive operational excellence best practices.

By joining this team, your will be based in our Development Center in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

• - Hiring and developing an engineering team that is responsible for design, development, and operations
• - Managing and mentoring engineers, ensuring organizational health and career development within your organization
• - Participating in strategic planning to achieve technical and business objectives and define technical direction, managing resource allocation between multiple engineering teams
• - Leading design reviews for engineers, and driving feedback on architecture, design and operational issues
• - Working with Business Stakeholders, Product leaders and Program Managers (Tech and non-Tech) and customers to deliver solutions

Basic qualifications

• - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• - 10+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
• - 4+ years of engineering team management experience
• - 7+ years of engineering experience
• - Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Preferred qualifications

• - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
• - Experience managing a team of high calibre Software Engineers developing complex, world class, scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
