Specialty Lead Software Engineer SAP RE-FX (ECC and S/4 HANA)

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• •Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
• •Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
• •Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
• •Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
• •Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
• •Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• •Mentor less experienced software engineers
• •Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• •Lead team to achieve objectives
• •Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Job Expectation:

• •Lead the strategy, evaluation, and resolution of highly complex, enterprise‑wide challenges by delivering long‑term, scalable solutions that require vision, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking
• •Assess and recommend emerging technologies and products to automate Embedded IT controls, processes, and reporting
• •This role requires strong functional configuration skills, an understanding of end‑to‑end real estate processes, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP modules
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design integrated business processes. Must have worked on supporting multiple integrated applications, Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across modules
• •Implement and support FASB 842 & IFRS16 lease accounting compliance within RE-FX(CLREM)
• •Lead or support Business Partner (BP) conversion activities during S/4HANA transformations.
• •Provide guidance on best practices for S/4HANA Real Estate Management
• •Design, configure, test, debug, and document SAP functional services, APIs, and integration components using SAP frameworks, with a strong emphasis on hands‑on delivery
• •Design business workflows and configure BAPIs and services that enable reliable, secure, and scalable integrations between internal systems, SaaS platforms, and external partners
• •Engineer and support data movement and integration solutions, including synchronous and asynchronous patterns, data transformations, and reliable delivery across systems and platforms
• •Lead projects, technical workstreams, or serve as a peer mentor, including configuration reviews, design reviews, and coaching engineers on SAP Functional Modules, integration, testing, configuration, and data best practices
• •Lead the testing efforts ensuring the quality deliverables are deployed in alignment with the business needs
• •Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and provide functional expertise, Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications
• •Ensure solutions adhere to organizational standards, governance, and compliance frameworks
• •Prepare training materials and deliver knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams
• •Review and analyze complex, large‑scale technology solutions in support of tactical and strategic business objectives, considering enterprise business enablement needs, integration patterns, data flow, resiliency, and security requirements
• •Serve as a subject‑matter expert to functional teams, system administrators, architects, and developers in designing, configuring the target solutions and applying industry best practices
• •Identify and champion innovations that enhance operational efficiency or create competitive advantage for Embedded IT and the broader organization as a shared services provider
• •Perform hands‑on engineering work, including designing, configuring, testing, debugging, and documenting solutions for projects and programs
• •Perform hand-on report design and configuration work to enable the insights and analysis of data for decision making and metrics
• •Develop end‑to‑end solution designs, determining appropriate technologies, defining interface patterns, managing upstream and downstream integrations, architecting business data flow models to support use cases, and producing required documentation and best‑practice guidance
• •Collaborate closely with cross teams to communicate design intent, provide technical direction, and support implementation as needed, Influence and lead technology teams to meet delivery commitments, improve platform reliability, and drive new integration initiatives
• •Engage strategically with cross‑functional partners and leaders at all levels, serving as a trusted technical subject matter expert and advisor to leadership
• •Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology leaders, architecture teams, and external vendors to resolve complex integration and platform challenges

Additional Required Qualifications:

• •5+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment
• •5+ years of SAP Configuration hands‑on experience with S/4 HANA Digital core modules
• •5+ years of hands-on configuration experience with S/4 HANA data integration solutions, including asynchronous, synchronous, real-time streaming, messaging, event based and REST API’s, also including ETL and ELT in heterogeneous application tech stack across on premise, custom, COTS, SaaS and cloud native solutions
• •5+ years of S/4 HANA, BTP, Fiori, SAP Workflow, SAP RISE experience
• •4+ years of experience evaluating and advising product teams on latest technological trends and product innovations
• •5+ years of experience in, with at least 3+ full-cycle R/3/ECC to S/4HANA migration projects as a Technical Lead.
• •Proven experience in a lead or principal role managing complex SAP landscapes.
• •Strong understanding of technical architectures for SAP FI, AP, AR, GL, AA, MM, PS, Ariba, CLM(Re-FX), and EPPM.
• •Proven capability to operate as a lead: owning solution direction, making architectural decisions, and driving outcomes across multiple workstreams/teams.
• •Strong hands-on expertise in SAP (relevant area to the role), with deep understanding of SAP standard processes and fit-to-standard principles.
• •Strong knowledge of SAP best practice for "Clean Core" adoption.
• •Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) integration and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting.
• •Demonstrated experience with SAP solution design across at least two of the following: core process design, integration, data migration, extension strategy, security/authorizations, reporting/analytics, testing & cutover

Desired Qualifications:

• •5+ Years of financial services industry experience
• •5+ years of experience working with corporate real estate applications, including capital planning, transaction management, lease accounting, lease administration and subledger balance sheet management and fixed asset management
• •5+ years’ experience in Contract & Lease Management, Real Estate Accounting, and Real Estate Valuation
• •5+ years of S/4 HANA, BTP, Fiori, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Workflow, SAP RISE experience
• •5+ years of commercial real estate technology management experience and real estate canonical data model and platform integrations
