Job Profile

Position details

Purpose: To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• •Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelines
• •Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load data
• •Optimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistency
• •Providing database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• •Implement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policies
• •Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions
• •Participate in code reviews and document change made in the required format
• •Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutions

Job Requirements:

Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.

Essential

• •Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functions
• •Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema design
• •Experience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysis
• •Familiarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL)
• •Strong handon SSIS development experience.
• •Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.

Preferred

• •Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automation
• •Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution
• •Experience with multiple database platforms e.g. SQL Server, Oracle and SnowFlake
• •Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools
• •Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

• •A calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurised environment
