The Sr Implementation Specialist serves as an experienced implementation professional responsible for leading complex software configuration, testing, and customer onboarding activities across Alkami Digital Banking implementations. This role independently manages implementation execution for diverse customer environments, including onboarding and live-client work, coordinates cross-functional delivery efforts, and guides customers through configuration, testing, cutover readiness, and launch activities to ensure successful implementation outcomes and positive customer experiences. The position applies advanced product knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and project coordination skills to resolve implementation challenges, support operational readiness, and improve implementation quality and efficiency. The Sr Implementation Specialist operates independently on complex engagements, contributes to process improvements, and provides functional leadership within assigned product or implementation ownership areas.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

● Lead complex software implementation activities by configuring and customizing Alkami products to support customer onboarding, testing, training, and launch readiness requirements across diverse implementation environments

● Independently manage customer implementation engagements by coordinating configuration tasks, ticket-driven workflows, project milestones, and stakeholder alignment across customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout project execution

● Guide customers through user acceptance testing and operational readiness activities by facilitating testing sessions, validating workflows, troubleshooting issues, and supporting implementation and cutover readiness requirements

● Perform advanced functional and integration testing by analyzing system behaviors, validating configurations, documenting results, and resolving implementation-related discrepancies prior to deployment

● Troubleshoot complex configuration, usability, and implementation issues by performing root-cause analysis, identifying corrective actions, and coordinating resolution efforts across technical, operational, and vendor stakeholders

● Collaborate with customers and third-party vendors by gathering configuration requirements, validating implementation details, and ensuring external dependencies are aligned with project timelines and delivery objectives

● Provide regular implementation updates to customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders by communicating project progress, issue resolution status, testing outcomes, and operational risks throughout implementation engagements

● Track and manage implementation activities by maintaining visibility into configuration progress, testing milestones, issue escalations, and project dependencies across multiple concurrent implementations

● Develop and maintain detailed implementation documentation by recording configuration settings, testing outcomes, issue logs, standard operating guidance, and customer and vendor communications throughout the implementation lifecycle

● Support implementation-related billing coordination by accurately documenting add-on sales activities, validating billable work, and ensuring implementation-related charges are properly tracked and communicated

● Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned Alkami products, integrations, or implementation functions by maintaining advanced knowledge, guiding delivery decisions, and supporting consistent execution across customer engagements

● Collaborate with Product, Support, Engineering, and Implementation teams by communicating customer feedback, implementation trends, and operational challenges that influence process improvements and product enhancements

● Manage multiple complex implementation priorities simultaneously by balancing customer needs, testing activities, issue resolution efforts, and project timelines across concurrent engagements

● Contribute to operational improvement initiatives by identifying implementation inefficiencies, recommending workflow enhancements, improving documentation and testing practices, and supporting best-practice development that improves implementation scalability and customer experience

● Support and mentor less experienced implementation specialists by providing guidance on testing methodologies, troubleshooting practices, customer and vendor communication strategies, and implementation procedures

Recommended Experience & Education

Minimum Years of Experience

3–6 years of experience leading software implementations, customer onboarding activities, configuration management, testing operations, or technical consulting engagements within SaaS, fintech, banking technology, or related environments.

Education Level Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.

● Advanced experience supporting software implementations, configuration management, and customer onboarding activities

● Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills related to software configuration, testing, vendor coordination, and implementation issues across multiple customer environments

● Ability to independently manage complex implementation projects and competing priorities

● Experience facilitating user acceptance testing, functional validation, and operational readiness activities

● Strong written and verbal communication skills with customer-facing and cross-functional stakeholder experience

● Experience collaborating with customers, vendors, and technical teams to coordinate implementation execution

● Ability to maintain detailed implementation documentation and operational tracking materials

● Strong organizational, analytical, and customer relationship management skills in fast-paced implementation environments

The salary range for this position is: $78,540 - $98,175
