Connected Logistics is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Security Specialist for RMF Step 6 and Tenable Operations to assist in providing the Department of State Directorate of Technology (DT), Enterprise Architecture (EA), Cyber Security Team (CST) comprehensive cybersecurity support services to protect critical consular systems and data. The CST Cyber portfolio ensures compliance with federal mandates including the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF), encompassing security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and continuous authorization activities.

The Senior Information Assurance Security Specialist, Tenable (Step 6 & Tenable Operations) will evaluate operational security data, system changes, and remediation evidence to maintain current system risk and authorization records. Personnel assigned Tenable duties also administer and troubleshoot scanning services within the team's scheduled 24/7/365 coverage model.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for senior-level continuous-monitoring analysis, authorization maintenance, and assigned Tenable engineering or operational support for complex consular systems.

  • Analyze Tenable and Wiz findings, confirm affected systems, prioritize KEVs/BODs, and coordinate remediation.
  • Maintain POA&Ms, risk assessments, closure evidence, authorization conditions, and current RMF artifacts.
  • Perform SIA/NOC analysis and document effects on controls, boundaries, inventories, and authorization posture.
  • Support FISMA submissions, audit data calls, contingency tests, independent assessments, and post-incident documentation.
  • For Tenable assignments, manage scan policies, credentials, agents, schedules, plugins, access, backups, patches, dashboards, and approved integrations.
  • Troubleshoot incomplete or non-credentialed scans, stale data, service failures, and suspected false positives.
  • Document shift handoffs and escalation actions; mentor junior staff and provide engineering escalation support as assigned.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and a final Secret clearance or higher
  • Relevant degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, subject to the LCAT and permitted substitutions.
  • Senior-level continuous-monitoring, vulnerability-management, and RMF maintenance experience for Federal systems.
  • For Tenable assignments, demonstrated hands-on platform administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to evaluate operational findings for control effectiveness, mission risk, remediation priority, and authorization impact.
  • Availability for assigned shifts, relief coverage, or after-hours escalation associated with Tenable operations.
  • Meet applicable LCAT certification requirements and maintain required credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CGRC, or CISM and relevant Tenable or cloud-security credentials.
  • DOS ArchAngel, Wiz, iPost/iMatrix, ServiceNow, and SIA/NOC experience.
  • Experience with API integrations, platform recovery, credentialed scan coverage, and automated reporting.

Success in this position will be demonstrated by reliable scanning services, current risk records, timely change analysis, sound vulnerability prioritization, and evidence-backed remediation closure.

This is a good-faith range based on factors such as your experience, geographic location, and any applicable contractual requirements, and may vary slightly.
