Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry based in the United States.

• This is a Staff-level product leadership role focused on making OpenTelemetry onboarding, instrumentation, and telemetry management simpler, more reliable, and more actionable.
• You will own the end-to-end customer journey from an uninstrumented workload to healthy, useful telemetry and meaningful observability outcomes.
• The role spans SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, OpenTelemetry Collectors, configuration, troubleshooting, validation, and downstream product activation.
• You will shape strategy across multiple engineering and product teams while creating a coherent experience for both developers and AI-powered coding agents.
• Using customer research, product data, and market insight, you will identify friction points and prioritize improvements that increase activation and time to value.
• You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Documentation, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams in a globally distributed environment.
