💼 About the job

Alma’s Financing team plays a central role in the company’s expansion. It structures, negotiates and executes financing strategies that support Alma’s lending activity across Europe. The team manages refinancing operations, contributes to corporate financial performance and works closely with Tech, Product, Revenue and Risk.

As a Structured Finance Analyst Intern, you will support the day-to-day management of existing financing structures, help improve recurring processes and contribute to current and future financing transactions. You will report to Thibaut Mercier , Head of Financing.

You will be supported as you build context on Alma, its financing activity and the stakeholders involved. The internship is expected to start between September 2026 and January 2027, with a flexible start date.

Your responsibilities and missions:

Keep existing financing structures running smoothly

Coordinate with external parties, such as the management company and depositary, to support efficient operations.

Work with internal teams to monitor regulatory compliance and the performance of each structure.

Monitor cash flows and financial information

Manage cash flow follow-up and help ensure the accuracy of accounting and prudential reporting.

Review data with support from the team and flag discrepancies clearly so they can be resolved with the right stakeholders.

Improve and automate recurring processes

Identify repetitive tasks and suggest practical automation opportunities, with room to test and refine solutions.

Design or maintain automated controls that improve data quality and reporting reliability.

Support financing transactions and investor work

Contribute to data collection, financial modelling and the preparation of investor materials for existing and future transactions.

Work with cross-functional teams and external financial partners to assess risks, monitor credit performance and support execution as you grow in confidence.

🧩 About you

Must have:

Currently studying finance, business, engineering or a related discipline, with a final-year or gap-year internship planned.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with care for detail and a willingness to learn from feedback.

Comfortable using Excel to analyse data and structure clear outputs, with support available as you learn Alma’s processes.

Nice to have:

Previous internship or academic project exposure to structured finance, securitisation or a related financial topic.

Basic knowledge of SQL for analysis or process improvement.

A strong interest in financial markets and financing strategies.

Mindset & ways of working:

Proactive and curious, with the confidence to take ownership progressively and ask questions early.

Collaborative and comfortable contributing to shared decisions with internal and external stakeholders.

Organised and reliable, while open to feedback, mentoring and continuous learning in a changing environment.

Communication:

Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share questions, progress and recommendations with different stakeholders.
