We are seeking an experienced, motivated Superintendent for our Site Development division to join our team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a hands-on construction leader who can oversee multiple crews and projects throughout the DC Metro area while maintaining strong relationships with clients, project teams, and field personnel.

As a Site Development Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, coordinating multiple crews and jobsites, maintaining production and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and project requirements. The ideal candidate has strong site development experience, understands civil construction, and can effectively lead both field personnel and client-facing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Jobsite Reporting: This position will report directly to jobsites throughout the Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland metropolitan areas..

Oversee multiple site development projects, crews, and jobsites throughout DC, Virginia, and Maryland.

Manage and coordinate daily field operations to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet production goals.

Lead, direct, and support Foremen and field crews while maintaining accountability for quality, productivity, and safety.

Read and interpret civil plans, specifications, proposals, change orders, cut sheets, and other project-related documents.

Coordinate with project managers, clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and office personnel to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.

Maintain professional and effective communication with clients and serve as a knowledgeable field representative for Team Muller.

Understand project scope and identify potential issues, changes, or conflicts before they impact production.

Perform and verify grade work using a transit and other applicable surveying and grade-control equipment.

Ensure work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, applicable county requirements, and company safety standards.

Demonstrate sound judgment and recognize when additional assistance or expertise is needed.

Help identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall field operations.

Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure crews follow company and project-specific safety requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience as a Superintendent, General Superintendent, Foreman, or other senior field leadership role within site development, site work, or civil construction.

Strong knowledge of site development and utility construction.

Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, proposals, cut sheets, change orders, and related project documents.

Ability to perform grade shooting using a transit and other applicable grade-control equipment.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Professional and confident client-facing communication skills.

Working knowledge of applicable county and local requirements for construction work throughout the DC Metro area.

Strong understanding of construction safety practices.

OSHA 30 certification.

Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle for travel between jobsites.

Ability to obtain and maintain any site-specific access, security clearance, or identification required to perform work on secured jobsites.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and competing priorities.

Experience operating excavators, skid-steers and dozers preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to walk and navigate active construction sites and uneven terrain.

Ability to stand, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and construction conditions.

Ability to communicate effectively and safely navigate active jobsites.
