Supervisory Environmental Protection Specialist

Summary

This position is in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, Chemical Information Prioritization and Toxic Release Inventory Division, Pollution Prevention Grants Branch. About this organization: OCSPP This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

Duties

You will: Lead Branch activities in collecting and promoting pollution prevention information and oversee pollution prevention grant programs. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to promote an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment. Represent the Branch as an expert consultant on pollution prevention and source reduction assistance grant programs. You will spend less than 50% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.

Qualifications

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as serving as an advisor or providing leadership, oversight, or technical expertise for pollution prevention techniques and approaches; and establishing and/or monitoring performance measures to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and progress of a team.
