Duties

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Leads the bureau's enterprise technology strategy, architecture, standards, governance, and modernization initiatives. Directs and coordinates major IT programs, projects, investments, and portfolio management activities to meet mission requirements and enterprise goals. Oversees the bureau's cybersecurity posture, Authority to Operate (ATO) portfolio, continuous monitoring, and remediation of vulnerabilities and findings. Provides full supervisory and administrative management of the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Division (CRMD), including workforce planning, performance management, budget, procurement, and day-to-day operations. Builds strategic relationships with senior ITA, Department of Commerce, interagency, and industry stakeholders and advises leadership on technology investments and modernization strategies. Qualifications

Basic Experience Requirement - Applicants must meet the basic qualification requirements for the Information Technology Management Series, 2210, as prescribed by OPM. Qualification is based on demonstrating the required proficiency levels in the OPM-established 2210 competencies. For the GS-15, the required competencies are: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Decision Making, Information Management, Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Problem Solving, Teamwork and Technical Competence Specialized Experience Requirement - To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Leading enterprise-level information technology strategy, architecture, modernization, or technology investment initiatives; Managing major IT programs, portfolios, or cybersecurity and risk-management activities; and Providing senior-level leadership and advice on complex IT matters, i.e., technology investments, organizational priorities, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, or IT operations, with responsibility for achieving organizational or mission objectives.
