Summary
About the Position: This incumbent serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, Branch Chief, and a senior Functional Subject Matter Expert at the Army Materiel Command (AMC), directing the Department of the Army Authorized Stockage List (ASL) program to ensure optimal inventory and drive enhanced operational readiness.
Duties
- Completes all supervisory tasks for branch personnel, including performance management, planning, prioritizing and managing workload and fostering a productive work environment
- Serves as subject matter expert across all facets of Retail Inventory business areas
- Provides functional expertise in the governance and review of Authorized Stockage Lists, Theater Stockage Lists, and Combat Authorized Stockage Lists
- Directs reviews of ASLs to optimize inventory levels for all Army Supply Support Activities
- Collaborates at both senior and working levels Army-wide in support of improving Army Readiness
- Supports LCMC planning and requirements development by sharing DoD and DA-specific information, ensuring alignment between subordinate commands and AMC enterprise objectives.
- Develops courses of action and drafts updates to supply policies, processes, and functional guidance to enhance enterprise effectiveness.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Analyzing unit supply transactions and data to determine optimum Authorized Stockage List (ASL) stockage decisions, 2. Evaluating supply chain performance and data to resolve systemic logistical deficiencies and 3. Advising command leadership or external defense research organizations on inventory management policies, performance indicators, and readiness impacts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
