Location: Old Windebrowe School, K eswick, Cumbria

Salary: Teaching Assistant - £22,795 - £23,074 (depending on qualification)

Old Windebrowe School is seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our founding team. Situated in the picturesque town of Keswick, our new school will cater to children with specific learning needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, and associated complex needs.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a brand-new school and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.

We are currently considering the appointment of two Teaching Assistants to join the Old Windebrowe team. For one of these positions, there is an identified occupational requirement for the successful applicant to be male, due to the specific needs of the student they will be supporting and the nature of the care, support and educational provision required.

This requirement is considered necessary and proportionate to ensure that the individual needs, dignity, safety and wellbeing of the student can be appropriately supported

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an inspirational SEND Professional who:

Is wanting to progress their career in SEN education

Has previous experience of working in a SEN education setting or similar setting

Has high expectations and a commitment to delivering the best possible education for all students.

Can lead small group or individual learning experiences for students

Can adapt their approach to support the needs of each student.

Is flexible, dynamic, well-organised, and reflective in their practice.

Has experience supporting children and young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and complex needs, including those who may be looked after.

Works well as part of a team and can inspire and support colleagues.
