A design professional who can think strategically, lead creatively, mentor effectively, and execute hands-on —someone capable of taking ownership of UI/UX initiatives while maintaining high standards of usability, visual quality, and product experience.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and creative Team Lead – UI/UX Designer to lead our design initiatives and drive user-centered experiences across digital products. The ideal candidate should have worked as a Senior UI/UX Designer, Lead UI/UX Designer, or in a similar leadership role , with a strong understanding of product design, user experience, and design systems.

The candidate should possess a strong and impressive portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX design, problem-solving, product thinking, and the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive and engaging digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process , from research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and final implementation.
  • Define and execute UI/UX strategies aligned with product, user, and business objectives.
  • Understand user needs, business requirements, and product challenges to develop effective design solutions.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, competitor analysis, and design validation wherever required.
  • Create user flows, information architecture, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems, UI guidelines, and reusable components .
  • Ensure consistency in design, usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall user experience across platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead design discussions, presentations, and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review designs and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality and adherence to design standards.
  • Mentor, guide, and support junior and mid-level designers , fostering creativity and professional growth within the team.
  • Manage multiple design projects and prioritize deliverables based on business and product requirements.
  • Stay updated with emerging UI/UX trends, design tools, AI-powered design solutions, and industry best practices .
  • Contribute to improving the organization's overall design processes, standards, and design culture.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Strong expertise in UI/UX Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, and Design Thinking .
  • Proficiency in Figma is essential; experience with Adobe XD, Sketch, or other design/prototyping tools is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design and usability principles .
  • Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, and high-fidelity designs .
  • Strong knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles .
  • Experience in creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries .
  • Good understanding of accessibility and usability standards .
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts .
  • Strong visual design skills, including typography, color, layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy .
  • Ability to convert complex business requirements into simple, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences .
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities with the ability to guide a design team.

Required Experience & Profile

  • 6–7 years of professional experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Candidates should preferably have worked as a Senior UI/UX Designer, Lead UI/UX Designer, UI/UX Lead, or in a similar role .
  • Demonstrated experience in leading design projects and mentoring designers .
  • Strong understanding of the complete design lifecycle , from discovery to development handoff and implementation.
  • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with a user-first approach.
  • Excellent portfolio is mandatory and should demonstrate relevant UI/UX projects, design thinking, problem-solving, and product design capabilities.

Education

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field is preferred.
