About the Technology Services Technician:

MarketStar IT team currently has an opportunity available for a Technology Services Technician. The Technology Services Technician will be responsible for managing support phone calls and emails. He/she will work effectively with end-users and clients to provide timely solutions to service issues and requests in a courteous manner.

Location: Ogden, UT

What will you do?

Respond to support phone calls and emails from employees and clients

Track, log, and trend issue resolution using Helpdesk ticketing system

Troubleshoot customers’ technical issues in person and on the phone

Repair and troubleshoot hardware and network connectivity issues

Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines

Manage inventory and track assets

All other duties as assigned by IT management or the Support manager

What Will You Need to Succeed?

Pursuing IT Help Desk certifications such as (A+, Net+, Security+)

Working knowledge of current Windows OSs and Microsoft Office Suites preferred

Knowledge of TCP/IP, wireless networks, LAN, WAN, virus protection, email functionality preferred

Interest in learning active directory, file servers, and tape backups

Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner

Professional demeanor; good customer service skills in person and on the phone

Excellent verbal, writing, and technical writing skill

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

Must be able to sit in front of and operate a computer for prolonged periods of time

Compensation: $39,520 USD

The hourly pay for this position is $19 USD. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
