TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (EW PLANNER and ANALYST)

Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist (EW Planner and Analyst) at US SOUTHCOM Strategy, Policy, and Plans Directorate-Security Cooperation Division in Miami, FL.

Duties

• •Serve as an Electronic Warfare (EW) Planner and Analyst within the Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell (JEMSOC).
• •Coordinate the synchronized integration and employment of Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Warfare Support Support (ES), and Electronic Protection (EP) into current USSOUTHCOM operations in the AOR (area of responsibility).
• •Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet combatant command theater needs.
• •Monitor current EW assignment(s) and utilization.
• •Evaluate the impact of changes in regulatory and legislative requirements regarding long-range Electronic Warfare program goals.
• •Define dynamic and enduring requirements for EW training and materiel in accordance with Requests For Forces (RFF) and long-range strategic planning.
• •Respond to Requests For Information (RFI) within the scope of EW capabilities and proper asset allocation.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Serve as an Electronic Warfare (EW) Planner and Analyst to ensure total force readiness in the electromagnetic operational environment (EMOE); 2) Synchronize the integration and employment of Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Warfare Support (ES), and Electronic Protection (EP) into current operations; and 3). Implement scientific and technological advances in related fields of wireless communication, electronics, and automation while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet combatant command theater needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
