Temporary Full-Time Opportunity
Easterseals Florida is seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant to join our team at Explorer Academy in Bunnell for an approximately three-month assignment during October, November, and December .
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact in a positive, supportive learning environment.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with hours scheduled between 7:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

What You'll Do
As a Temporary Teacher/Teacher Assistant, you'll help create a positive and enriching experience for children. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting classroom activities and daily routines
- Encouraging children's learning, development, and independence
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
- Following lesson plans and classroom schedules
- Assisting with meals, outdoor play, rest time, and transitions
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Helping ensure classrooms remain clean, organized, and compliant with program standards
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to successfully complete the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45-Hour Child Care Training within the first 90 days of employment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive, patient, and supportive approach when working with children
- Ability to adapt to different classrooms, age groups, and routines
- Willingness to learn DCF standards, ASQ, Conscious Discipline, and developmentally appropriate practices
