Position Reports to: Snow Surfaces Manager, Terrain Park Supervisor , Grooming Supervisor

Location: Crystal Mountain, Washington

Wage: $ 27.00 - 30.00/ hour DOE

JOB SUMMARY

The Terrain Park Groomer plays a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, creative, and progressive terrain park experience for guests. This position is responsible for grooming and shaping terrain park features and surrounding slopes, operating and performing daily inspections of PistenBully grooming equipment, assisting with the design, construction, and maintenance of jumps, jibs, and other snow features, and collaborating with the grooming team to deliver exceptional park conditions. The ideal candidate has prior snowcat grooming experience, a strong understanding of terrain park operations and feature design, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic mountain environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Maintains and grooms features in the terrain park and surrounding slopes

Operates P B400 and PB600 snowcats in a safe and efficient manner

Maintains fluid levels, performs daily machine inspections , and reports any /all damage to vehicle maintenance

Assist s in the building , installation , and transport of terrain park jibs and snow feature s

Completes required hand/rake work around terrain park features when needed

Assist s the rest of the grooming crew when possible

​ KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Valid drivers license

M inimum 2 years snow grooming experience

Knowledge of terrain park terminology and practice s

Ability to ski/ ride terrain park features preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

T his position is required to work evenings and/or overnight , weekends and holiday s while in operation .

Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis , and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis .

Ability to work for extended periods of time while seated .

Manual dexterity to operate hand tool s such as rakes , shovels, and basic carpentry tools .

Ability to work outside in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures .

Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
