At Raytheon Missiles & Defense, you will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute across a broad portfolio of advanced technologies and products. As part of a collaborative team, you will help support test processes that ensure our systems meet customer requirements and mission needs.

This is a 4th shift position working 12 hour shifts from Friday to Sunday + 4 hours worked within the week which includes an 8% shift premium.

Test & Validation Engineers support the development, execution, and improvement of factory test processes. In this entry level position, you will work under the guidance of more experienced engineers to perform testing, assist in troubleshooting electronic hardware, and contribute to process improvements within manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

• •Support cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Test Equipment Development, Design Engineering, Maintenance, and Program teams.
• •Assist with the creation and maintenance of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), including test instructions, workflow/routing updates, and documentation changes.
• •Work with Test Development Engineering to support test hardware and software used on the factory floor.
• •Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing test areas, including basic troubleshooting and incorporating engineering changes into the MDP under supervision.
• •Assist with the disposition of non-conforming material and support root cause/corrective action activities.
• •Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives aimed at improving cycle time, reducing costs, and enhancing safety and efficiency using RTX CORE principles.
• •Develop familiarity with factory test equipment and test methodologies used on complex electronic assemblies.

Qualifications You Must Have

• •Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
• •The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• •Foundational understanding of RF, digital, and analog circuits.
• •Ability to read and interpret test requirements, schematics, and technical drawings with guidance.
• •Basic knowledge of RF test equipment (power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers).
• •Exposure to test software environments such as LabVIEW or TestStand.
• •Hands-on electronics aptitude and willingness to learn troubleshooting techniques.
• •Prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience in electronics, testing, or manufacturing is a plus.
• •Familiarity with CORE principles or continuous improvement methodologies beneficial.
• •Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance is a plus but not required.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
