Summary

Duties

  • Operates tractors equipped with specialized attachments to perform aeration, topdressing, overseeding, and deep-tining across greens, tees, fairways, and roughs without damaging the manicured surface.
  • Conducts daily safety and mechanical checks (including fluids, tire pressure, belts, and grease points) and reports mechanical issues immediately to the equipment manager to prevent costly field breakdowns.
  • Safely operates heavy machinery on uneven terrain, steep slopes, and near water hazards, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and course-specific safety protocols to prevent rollovers.
  • Properly hooks up, calibrates, and adjusts various implements (such as spreaders, sprayers, and utility trailers) to ensure accurate application rates of seed, sand, or fertilizer.
  • Assists the maintenance team by hauling soil, gravel, debris, and green waste across the property, utilizing utility trailers while minimizing soil compaction along designated haul routes.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment. 2. Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license. 3. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.
