TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Main responsibilities:

The Training & Development Manager is responsible for:

Coordinating and facilitating training and development programs to enhance crew skills and knowledge. Identifying training needs, organizing training sessions, and monitoring crew performance and career development;

Engaging learners with effective questions, storytelling and other dynamic facilitation techniques;

Using personal experiences to make content relevant to learners. Creating a learner-focused environment when sharing information;

Providing participants with feedback and coaching as they practice skills and behaviours;

Conducting courses as per company requirements;

Managing, communicating, and coordinating all aspects of shipboard learning programs, including attendance tracking, maintenance of training facilities, and monitoring of training material inventory;

Maintaining training records in the appropriate systems;

Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information at all times;

Supporting the Management Team with any additional training needs;

Adapting work schedule in order to accommodate operational demands and constraints. Creating training schedules that take into consideration, crew work schedules, places, crew and operational needs first.

Performing other duties as assigned, when appropriate;

Understanding and complying with all applicable policies and procedures;

Understanding and consistently adheres to all policies and procedures;

Demonstrating commitment to the Company’s values, beliefs, goals, and initiatives. Consistently upholding our Core Values;

Evaluating & Auditing training being delivered by Managers and Supervisors, identifies any training gaps and creates an action plan for improvement;

Preparing training reports and metrics for senior management, including crew attendance reports, outstanding trainings, activity report

Staying updated on leaning & development trends and best practices in the cruise industry. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the HR department.

Fostering effective communication and collaboration with other vessel departments, including (Hotel, Deck, Engine & Concessionaires), to ensure seamless guest experiences and resolve operational issues. ​

Participating in emergency drills and responding to actual emergencies as per the Muster List;

Portraying a positive image of AROYA Cruises to all guests, officers, crew, and government officials;

Maintaining professional relationships across all functions, while promoting a positive and harassment-free work environment that welcomes and respects differences in cultures, backgrounds, and individual personalities;

Adhering to and ensuring all persons under their supervision adhere to all all safety regulations;

Adhering to and ensuring all persons under their supervision adhere and comply with all Company Policies, Procedures and Manuals;

Performing duties and tasks according to above but not limited to that.

The Training & Development Manager reports and is accountable to the HR Manager.
