Transaction Monitoring Functional SME

As a Transaction Monitoring Functional SME, you will provide expertise in transaction monitoring, alert behavior, scenario logic, analyst review, false-positive analysis and financial crime optimization.

You will work with product, AI, data, engineering and QA teams to design realistic and compliant workflows for alert triage and review support.

Responsibilities

Minimum 10 years of experience in AML transaction monitoring, financial crime operations, alert investigation, scenario tuning, case management or related compliance roles.

Strong understanding of transaction monitoring lifecycle, alert triage, scenario behavior, false positives, investigation evidence and QA review practices.

Ability to define business requirements, test scenarios, risk signals, reason codes and functional acceptance criteria for technology teams.

Experience working with transaction monitoring or AML platforms and analyst/reviewer workflows.

Strong ability to validate AI-assisted recommendations, explanations and summaries for completeness and compliance appropriateness.

Good communication skills to bridge domain, product, AI, data and engineering teams.

Ability to operate in agile product development and contribute to demos, UAT and functional documentation.

Technical requirements

Experience with Actimize, Verafin, Oracle FCCM, SAS AML, FICO, Feedzai, Unit21, ComplyAdvantage or similar platforms.

Experience with scenario tuning, false-positive reduction, QA sampling, productivity analytics or alert optimization initiatives.

Certifications such as CAMS, CFCS or equivalent are preferred.
