Utility Operator

Job Description:

This role will be responsible for covering vacant positions in all of Stick Electrode. The Utility operator must demonstrate safety, quality, and production initiatives at all times. The candidate for this position is selected via an interview process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• •Operates assigned equipment and performs material handling functions as needed.
• •Must have successful and demonstrated record of building positive relationships with and between production personnel.
• •Possess successful teambuilding experience.
• •Must understand and apply the 5S philosophy and ensure all housekeeping assignments are completed.
• •Help trouble shoot mechanical issues with team members.
• •Must be physically able to perform in any position within the business unit and have the ability to lift 60 pounds.
• •Possess a forklift license.
• •Any other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• •Excellent attendance.
• •Must have experience and be willing to work in most of the following areas: Packaging, Relief Pack, Extrusion, Weigh Out, Wet Mix, and Wire Cutting.
• •Must be willing to work overtime as needed• Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• •Must be mechanically inclined.
• •Must be physically able to perform in any position within the business unit and have the ability to lift 60 pounds.
• •Must be a team player who possesses an excellent attitude.
• •Must be customer focused and goal oriented.
