Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a growing legal team focused on estate planning, probate, trust administration, elder law, and Medicaid matters. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining client communications, drafting legal documents, organizing case files, and supporting daily administrative operations that help attorneys serve their clients efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a structured environment, takes initiative after receiving direction, and is comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the firm's growth while building valuable experience in a collaborative legal environment.

Monthly Compensation Range: from $1,150 USD to $1,220 USD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information

Contact clients when necessary regarding documentation, updates, and requests

Support phone communications and client interactions

Assist with case related administrative activities

Manage and organize incoming and outgoing email communications

Save, maintain, and organize client files and legal documentation

Draft estate planning documents with accuracy and attention to detail

Provide general administrative assistance as needed

Assist attorneys and team members with administrative and legal support tasks

Follow up with prospective clients and leads

Ensure legal records and client information remain organized and updated

Collaborate with team members to support operational efficiency and firm growth

Requirements:

Additional Details:

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Time Zone: EST (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

Practice Areas Supported: Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Elder Law and Medicaid Matters.

Software & Tools: WealthCounsel, RingCentral.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, or in a legal support role and/or related Bachelor's degree in legal studies

Advanced/native-level English skills (both written and spoken)

Estate planning drafting experience is strongly preferred and will significantly reduce the training curve.

Experience using WealthCounsel is highly preferred and will be considered a major advantage during the hiring process.

Experience with client communication and lead follow-up.

Ability to maintain accurate digital client files and documentation.

Estate planning document drafting

Probate and trust administration knowledge
