Chessie Lane Animal Hospital in Ottawa, Illinois is growing, and we're looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our incredible team!

What you'll be doing:

• ✨ Supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care
• ✨ Helping educate pet parents and making sure they feel informed and confident about their pet's care
• ✨ Assisting with appointments, treatments, and keeping patients comfortable throughout their visit
• ✨ Caring for our boarding guests by feeding, walking, monitoring, and making them feel at home
• ✨ Cleaning and maintaining kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, and the hospital to keep everything running smoothly
• ✨ Restraining patients safely during exams and procedures
• ✨ Restocking supplies, preparing rooms, and jumping in wherever the team needs you
• ✨ Delivering compassionate care and creating a positive experience for every pet and every client

We're looking for someone who:

• 🐶 Has a genuine passion for animal care
• 💬 Loves connecting with people and providing great client education
• 🤝 Works well in a team and is always willing to lend a hand
• ⚡ Stays organized and positive in a busy environment
• 🩺 Has veterinary experience (preferred, but we'd love to meet motivated candidates eager to learn!)
• 📅 Is available to work Saturdays
