Weekend Overnight Caregiver - Lakeway

Description

Halcyon Home is looking for an experienced, dependable caregiver for an ongoing Friday and Saturday overnight position at Lakeway, TX , from 4:00 PM–8:00 AM (16 hours per weekend).

The client has hearing difficulties, so the ideal caregiver should be mature, speak clearly, and communicate effectively . Due to the level of care required, a skilled CNA is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for clients with advanced dementia or cognitive impairment and be comfortable providing overnight supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care.

Responsibilities

• •Assist with the evening bedtime routine and getting settled for the night
• •Provide safe nighttime toileting and mobility assistance
• •Monitor for fall risks and implement fall-prevention measures
• •Assist with morning showering, dressing, and breakfast
• •Follow the established care routine and provide a thorough shift handoff
• •Communicate clearly and professionally with the client and care team

Requirements

Qualifications:

• •Extensive hands-on experience with dementia and/or cognitive impairment
• •Skilled CNA experience preferred
• •Strong understanding of fall prevention and safe mobility assistance
• •Mature, patient, calm, dependable, and able to work independently
• •Clear communication skills and the ability to speak loudly and clearly due to the client's hearing impairment
• •Comfortable committing to a long-term, recurring weekend schedule
