About The 2027 SF Fed Summer Internship Program

At the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, we are passionate about recognizing and developing emerging talent. Our internship program gives college and graduate students the opportunity to experience work-life in a vibrant, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

Our program is designed for interns to experience growth professionally and personally, working closely with managers and team members as they share in our great mission of public service. We believe in providing enriching experiences that allow individuals to contribute to finding solutions and identifying opportunities that are critical to their team’s and the Bank’s success.

Operations Intern at the SF Fed

• Desired areas of study (but not limited to):
• Accounting, Logistics, Operations Management, Psychology, Public Administration, Supply Chain, Risk Management

Operations interns will use skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, and collaboration to work on projects which ensure our business operations remain sound, updated, efficient, and documented. Interns will gain experience, exposure, learn about a variety of operational-related challenges that will help to build foundational knowledge for the future.

• Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, Federal Reserve Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Workplace Experience

Program Eligibility

• •Full-time undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2029
• •U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
• •Keen interest in public service, and the mission-driven work of the SF Fed
• •Demonstrated leadership ability
• •Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the 10.5-week internship
• •Ability to work 5 days per week in-office

• Salary range for internship roles (based on position/experience/location):
• $21.00 - $36.00/hourly
