3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor

This position is for 3rd shift & is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility.

Provides the necessary maintenance support for the facilities, packaging equipment, power, refrigeration, and landscaping at the Yadkinville, NC plant.

Essential Duties :

• •Supervise all maintenance and capital projects at the Yadkinville Plant.
• •Staff, schedule the maintenance department as appropriate, and ensure its effectiveness through training.
• •Maintain a positive labor relations environment with subordinate personnel.
• •Analyze production processes and methods.
• •Recommend and implement changes and new programs that improve costs.
• •Provide monthly summaries to the management of maintenance performance and capital project updates.
• •Maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• •Ensure compliance with all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures in areas of own responsibility.
• •Provide ongoing training and enforcement as appropriate.
• •Responsible for reporting any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• •Enforce GMP rules and guidelines.
• •Identify and communicate food safety issues; lead and influence food safety initiatives.

Minimum Experience:

• •Total Yrs. of Experience: 5 to 7 years.
• •Six years of experience in engineering and maintenance, including four years of supervisory experience.
• •Experience in consumer food products and food packaging. Apprenticeship in one of more maintenance areas.
• •Functional experience in the use of Word and Excel.
• •Working knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
• •Minimum Formal Education: Associate Degree.

• •Mental/Reasoning: Ability to use analytical skills to determine the correct course of action. Ability to manage several projects at the same time and be able to learn new projects quickly.
