3rd Shift Materials Handler

Reports to: Operations Supervisor

Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining inventory, locating material for production orders, and preparing finished stock for shipment.

Responsibilities and Areas of Accountability:

• •Learn & understand company safety policies and procedures and promote compliance.

• •Assist in the transformation of the shop floor culture to one of Continuous Improvement and Accountability.

• •Responsibilities and Duties:
• •Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• •Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• •Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• •Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• •Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• •Maintains in-process inventory
• •Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• •Participates in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills:

Current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate

Education: High school diploma/GED required

Experience: 1+ years’ inventory management experience
