DEPARTMENT : MOLDING DEPARTMENT CODE : 01

REPORTS TO (N+1): SHIFT SUPERVISOR RP MD

AUXILLARY REPORTING : MANAGER PLANT RP MF FLSA : HOURLY NON EXEMPT

COMP. BAND: N/A

Shift: Saturday-Monday 7am-7pm

Pay: Starting $19.00 and $1.50 Shift Differential

Paid Tier Progression for demonstrated knowledge/training verification. Opportunity to earn up to $21/hr in the first 12 months on the job

THIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT OR SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION SUMMARY

PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE (Formally Packer/Handler) assures by visual inspection that all containers and lids are manufactured and packaged according to Amcor Corporation quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Required to adhere to all EHS/GMP policies.

Maintain clean, organized work area.

Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Set aside products that are below quality standards. Notify Leads, Process Tech and/or Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions. Timely response to quality issues is key to this position.

Complete assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids; handles onto containers as directed while keeping up with the production machines cycles

Stacking/Packaging product per instructions that may vary with different customers requirements.

Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels

Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed

Assist with line clearance and changeover functions.

Manage product flow through various types of automation. Notify Maintenance and Supervisor of any automation concerns.

When the machine experiences downtime in production, the production associate will take this available time to conduct 5S of their respective area. Perform cleaning duties on cleaning checklist and/or tasks that may be assigned by the production supervisor/process tech lead.

Accurately complete any required paperwork.

Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor/process tech lead.

Tier progression is not required but encouraged for all Production Associate job roles. Additional requirements for progression are not included in this job description. Each Production Associate tier has requirements to meet or exceed to progress. Each Production Associate tier includes additional expected tasks to perform along with each tier.

MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Capability to keep pace with the production cycles.

Capability to demonstrate time management, physical dexterity, and constant attention to detail

Tolerance of repetitive tasks.

Sitting or standing for long periods of time.

Capability to lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.

Capability to lift up to 49 pounds safely.

Capability to identify alpha / numeric descriptions.

Expected but not limited: flexible schedule, weekend/daily overtime, and working holidays as so directed when production demands fluctuate.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Previous production experience is favorable, but not required

Being able to read, write and communicate in English.

Basic or Intermediate computer skills

KEY BEHAVIORAL TRAITS FOR SUCCESS

Dependable, good attendance is required, and associates must report for work per their scheduled time.

Good communication skills, ability to follow directions and relay important information.

Ability to work alone and/or in a group setting.

Content doing routine work efficiently and safety-oriented mindset.
