As an Acceleration Center - Tax Leader - Director you will lead client support work within our Tax Services practice, with a focus on Tax Compliance and Domestic Tax Compliance in the context of Global Business Structuring. As a Director you will set strategic direction, guide business growth, and manage executive-level client relationships while overseeing multiple workstreams, developing solutions, and supporting leaders across the team. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Mexico, you will drive tax compliance delivery, shape engagement priorities, and bring a commercial mindset to complex client needs.
Responsibilities
- - Leading tax compliance initiatives across client engagements and aligning delivery with strategic business goals
- - Setting direction for complex compliance workstreams and coordinating multiple priorities across teams and deadlines
- - Developing tax planning approaches that reflect corporate tax law, domestic compliance requirements, and client objectives
- - Reviewing tax returns, supporting workpapers, and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- - Guiding preparation of tax documents, regulatory filings, and submission packages for a range of compliance matters
- - Monitoring changes in tax rules, filing requirements, and administrative guidance to adapt delivery methods and procedures
- - Applying analytical thinking to tax accounting, financial review, and financial statement analysis to identify issues and exposures
- - Advising on process improvements, digital tooling, and AI-enabled methods that streamline tax compliance workflows
- - Building trusted client relationships and representing tax delivery in discussions with senior business leaders
- - Coaching teams on tax research, technical documentation, and issue resolution while supporting growth of future leaders
What You Must Have
- - At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
- - At least 8 years of experience
- - A Bachelor's Degree or Professional License (T�tulo or C�dula Profesional) are required. Candidates whose Bachelor's Degree and/or Professional License are still pending must provide an official Letter of Completion issued by the University confirming that all academic and social service requirements are complete in order to be eligible to hire. The final Bachelor's Degree and/or Professional License must be submitted to the firm�s HC department, within 12 months as of effective start/hire date, pursuant to the corresponding executed employment agreement.
- - Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
- - In Tax, Manager, Senior Manager, and Director roles prefer candidates who hold an active primary credential, such as one of the following: (1) US CPA or foreign equivalent (2) US Enrolled Agent in good standing with an appropriate regulatory body (3) a firm?approved secondary credential
- - Demonstrating strategic tax compliance leadership across multiple client engagements
- - Driving domestic tax compliance initiatives and business structuring solutions
- - Leading executive client discussions and shaping engagement direction
- - Applying tax research, planning, and document drafting experience
- - Using digital tooling, AI fluency, and analytical thinking to streamline delivery
