About Us

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in the Bay Area, Ceres AI connects field data to financial and operational decision making. Our team of agronomists, analysts, and scientists combines aerial and satellite imagery with machine learning to help agribusinesses, processors, and agricultural investors improve crop performance, manage risk, and use water, fertilizer, and chemicals more efficiently.

The Role

As Account Manager for the Midwest, you'll be the link between our platform and our customers' success.

You will own a book of mid-market and enterprise accounts, primarily in row crops. Your mandate is clear: keep customers, grow them, and win new ones.

Your First 30 Days

Learn your portfolio: crop mix, acreage, priorities, platform usage, renewal timelines, and account health.

Meet key stakeholders across each account, from agronomy and farm management teams to operations leaders and ownership groups.

Partner with the Global Director – Row Crops and the broader commercial team on account transitions and growth plans.

Map your territory's prospect landscape.

What You'll Do

Retain and grow your book of business

Own a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise accounts, primarily in row crops, driving renewals and resolving escalations quickly.

Deepen existing relationships through regular check-ins, in-season support, customer site visits, and industry trade shows and grower events.

Lead regular business reviews focused on ROI, renewals, and next opportunities.

Expand accounts through upsells, additional acreage, and new products and features.

Develop new business

Source and close new business with large direct agribusinesses, processors, and ag capital groups through referrals, industry networks, and outreach.

Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in Salesforce.

Drive adoption and measurable value

Be the primary point of contact for customers using the Ceres AI platform.

Help customers build Ceres imagery and analytics into their workflows and turn insights into outcomes: input and water efficiency, crop performance, and portfolio risk.

Partner across Ceres

Work with sales leadership on renewals, expansion strategy, and enterprise pursuits.

Coordinate with flight operations and the science team to deliver on schedule and to standard.

Bring structured customer feedback to product and engineering to shape the roadmap.

Familiarity with precision ag or remote sensing, and the ability to translate data into operational and financial value.

Clear, confident communication with both field teams and executives.

Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM.

Residence in the Midwest and willingness to travel up to 40%.

Nice to Have

Established relationships with large direct agribusinesses, processors, and/or agricultural capital investment groups.

Hands-on experience with aerial or satellite imagery, NDVI, thermal imagery, or precision ag platforms.

Background in ag SaaS, subscription services, or enterprise account management.

Taken full ownership of your portfolio and built trusted relationships at each account.

Built an active new business pipeline in your territory.

Delivered a retention and growth plan covering renewal risks and expansion priorities.

Ongoing, success is measured by gross and net revenue retention, expansion revenue, and new business closed.
