This opportunity entails being responsible for managing the workflow of the Accounts Payable department. The Supervisor will oversee maintaining and developing accounts payable procedures and processes. Along with performing a leadership role, this position will be responsible for a variety of accounts payable processes including, but not limited to, invoice and expense report processing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversees, manages, coaches, and develops the accounts payable associates, including the offshore accounts payable team.
  • Supports the management and maintenance of the Company's financial ERP (general ledger) system to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Participates in the evaluation, implementation, and testing of new financial information systems and system upgrades on existing financial information systems.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of accounts payable related transactions entered into the ERP system.
  • Resolves inconsistencies, issues, and recommendations escalated from accounts payable associates and the offshore team.
  • Reviews and enters invoices and/or accounts payable adjustments in the ERP.
  • Reviews expense reports for corporate compliance and assists accounts payable associates and offshore team with questions.
  • Processes vendor and subconsultant payments and employee reimbursements.
  • Monitors AP email for special requests, providing timely responses and solutions or escalating as appropriate.
  • Works closely with division, office, and operations staff related to accounts payable matters and transactions.
  • Supervises weekly and monthly close procedures.
  • Reviews account payable related account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the completion and timely distribution of departmental key metrics and reporting.
  • Manages the enrollment of vendors and subconsultants to receive electronic payments.
  • Identifies and implements enhancements to the design and effectiveness of the department's internal control environment.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities within the department and across other functional areas to support process efficiency.
  • Prepares other ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of education, 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 1 year supervisory experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with little supervision.
  • Ability to manage and develop team members.
