- Manage external equipment suppliers end to end: requirements, vendor selection, design reviews, FAT/SAT, and equipment acceptance.
Identify and lead automation and capital projects that improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost, including building the justification and owning the budget and schedule.
- Troubleshoot and optimize cobots (e.g., UR7e) and machine vision systems used for automated assembly and in-process quality inspection.
- Implement changes and improvements to vision applications, including inspection criteria, cameras, lighting, sensors, and system performance.
- Support capacity expansion and scaling efforts.
Mentor engineers and technicians and serve as the SME for robotics, vision systems, automation, and production equipment.

- Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Experience leading automation or capital equipment projects from requirements through installation, FAT/SAT, qualification, and production release.
- Direct experience managing external automation or equipment vendors.
- Hands-on experience developing, configuring, troubleshooting, or optimizing machine vision systems such as Keyence, Cognex, Omron, or equivalent for in-line inspection.
- Experience with industrial robotics such as UR7e, PLC-controlled equipment, motion control, sensors, and other automated manufacturing technologies.
- Working knowledge of DOE, statistical analysis, process capability, MSA, and Gage R&R.
