AI Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join a growing engineering and technology team in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative AI-driven solutions, taking ideas from concept through to deployment while collaborating with multidisciplinary and international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Design, develop, and implement AI-based solutions to address complex business and engineering challenges
• •Create prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production-ready AI applications
• •Develop and maintain Python-based software solutions following engineering best practices
• •Support the deployment, optimisation, and continuous improvement of AI systems
• •Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
• •Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle
• •Contribute to process improvement initiatives and promote knowledge sharing across teams
• •Work closely with colleagues across global locations to support project delivery

Required Skills:

• •Minimum 3 years' experience in AI, machine learning, or software engineering roles
• •Proven experience designing, prototyping, and delivering AI solutions
• •Strong Python development skills
• •Solid software engineering fundamentals, including code quality, testing, and version control
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• •Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously
• •Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
• •Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• •Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering , or  equivalent   military experience .

Desirable Skills:

• •Experience deploying, maintaining, or supporting AI solutions in production environments
• •Exposure to MLOps, cloud platforms, or AI deployment pipelines
• •Experience working with international or globally distributed teams
• •Knowledge of software deployment and operational support practices
