the posting
Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? We’re looking for an Analyst to join the Product Transitions team. The team oversees the operational set up, launch, and restructure of CC&L's Canadian, US, and global investment funds. CC&L’s affiliates trade in over 70 countries spanning developed, emerging and frontier markets across equities, fixed income, and derivatives. The team develops and executes transition plans by combining a deep understanding of investment strategies, operational requirements, and the needs of clients and investment managers. Partnering closely with investment teams, custodians, brokers, legal and compliance, and operational teams, the team manages over 100 fund transitions annually. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.
What You Will Do
Coordinate the onboarding and relationship management of custodians, prime brokers and trading counterparties, including KYC/AML processes, account opening documentation, legal agreements, and operational setup.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
Analyze and identify operational and portfolio management requirements, and work with internal teams to set up new funds.
Participate in product and operational meetings to provide updates on onboarding progress and counterparty developments.
Utilize Smartsheet, SharePoint and S&P Global Counterparty Manager for project tracking, reporting, and coordination of deliverables.
Maintenance of onboarding tools, project plans and documentation.
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in investment operations, finance or banking. Experience with investment products, knowledge of financial markets and funds preferred.
Collaborative and team-oriented approach. You build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to provide succinct written and verbal communication. You are confident and comfortable expressing opinions and making decisions.
Analytical, creative and growth mindset. You thrive at solving problems and making sound decisions under pressure.
You own what you do, are dependable and can figure things out.
Can manage multiple tasks and projects while staying on track with deliverables and exhibiting strong attention to detail. You set priorities and meet deadlines.
The expected base salary range for this position is $61,000–$92,000. The midpoint represents our general market target for a fully qualified and experienced individual performing the role. Actual starting salary may fall below or above the midpoint depending on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
