Job Description:

Instruct AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to pre professionals, professionals and lay persons in accordance with AHA guidelines in an energetic and understandable manner to a wide audience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• •American Heart Association certified BLS PROVIDER and INSTRUCTOR.
• 1-3 years prior experience as a PROVIDER is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• •Energetic attitude.
• Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer and Audio/Visual systems preferred.
• Be physically able to perform CPR on a mannequin.
• Be able to lift, move, bend, kneel, carry within reason.

Essential Functions:

• •Instruct AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to pre professionals, professionals and lay persons in accordance with AHA guidelines in an energetic and understandable manner to a wide audience.
• •Answer basic questions regarding Anatomy and Physiology of the cardiac system.
• •Maintain equipment and use A/V materials.
• •Successfully run 2 BLS CPR classes on campus while being monitored by a senior instructor.

Minimum Education/Experience:

• •High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• •American Heart Association certified BLS PROVIDER and INSTRUCTOR.
• 1-3 years prior experience as a PROVIDER is preferred.
