• Job Summary
• The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Master Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks

Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.

Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.

Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals

Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.

Basic computer knowledge is required.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred:

2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred

Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes

Work Environment:

Indoor office setting with controlled temperature.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
