This role is based in Evendale, Ohio and sits within GE Aerospace’s Crisis Management / Global Security operations organization. The Aerospace Response Center (ARC) is GE Aerospace’s 24/7 incident and crisis monitoring capability, responsible for maintaining global situational awareness and coordinating timely reporting and response support for events that may impact GE Aerospace operations worldwide.
Role Overview
The ARC Operations Specialist is a critical member of GE Aerospace’s 24/7 incident and crisis management team. ARC Operations Specialists provide continuous monitoring, analysis, and operational support for incidents, crises, and emerging events that could affect GE Aerospace sites, people, travel, programs, and business continuity.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while following established standard work and procedures. The ARC Operations Specialist partners closely with Watch Officers and other ARC team members to ensure seamless shift operations and continuous improvement of ARC tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Monitoring & Analysis : Monitor and analyze global incidents, crises, and events that may impact GE Aerospace operations.
- Reporting & Communication : Provide timely, accurate reporting and updates to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining clarity and consistency.
- Crisis Tools & Systems : Operate emergency notification systems and other security tools to support crisis management and communication efforts.
- Shift Execution & Handoffs : Collaborate with Watch Officers and ARC teammates to ensure seamless shift operations, handoffs, and continued situational awareness.
- Recommendations & Response Support : Maintain situational awareness and provide recommendations that support response actions and risk mitigation.
- Standard Work Adherence : Follow established standard work and operational procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
- Training & Readiness : Participate in training programs to maintain readiness and proficiency in ARC operations and tools.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute to improvements in ARC processes, tools, and workflows to strengthen organizational resilience and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in security studies, intelligence, emergency management, international relations, or a related field (or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years equivalent experience)
- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving capability; ability to interpret information from multiple sources
- Shift Work : Ability and willingness to work 8-hour shifts , including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tools : Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and case management systems
- Execution Under Pressure : Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a high-stress environment with strong attention to detail
- Clearance : Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance
Additional Information
- Work Schedule : 8-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Physical Requirements : May involve standing, walking, and lifting as required by the role
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in crisis management, security operations, military, law enforcement, or related fields
- Familiarity with emergency notification systems and security tools
- Background in incident monitoring and analysis
